Hot Second Life Virtual Products

The Scoop on Hot Virtual Products

If you have heard about the online Second Life universe, then you may have heard about the virtual products they offer as part of their membership packages. The Basic Membership package is free but you cannot own any Second Life land. You get to buy the basics such as food and drinks but not much more. To really be a part of the community and make money, if that is what you want to do, then you need to upgrade to the Premium package for $9.95 a month and pay extra land usage fees that vary depending on how much land you own.

First you need to know that Second Life com is a booming business. The Second Life business is broken up into two parts. First there is the private sector and secondly, there is the money that is made by Linden Labs from the membership and user fees. They charge fees for land taxes and certain items. They also charge money for the typical items that you might find in real life. The Second Life game is very much like real life, except that you have an avatar interacting for you in cyberspace, while you sit at your computer.

Virtual products are anything that you would typically use in the real world. There are Second Life clothes, food, drinks, music, vehicles, land and homes. People buy and sell these products as they would in the real world. In fact, there have been recent discussions regarding how some individuals have turned Second life into a money making profit game and they are turning over thousands of real US dollars a month.

Now to cover what you get for your money using a Premium Package as an example. You get a sign up bonus of $1000 Linden dollars and a weekly stipend of $300. You get Premium support in the Second Life game. You can also own Second Life land, or perhaps even a Second Life island. When comparing it to the Basic package, it really is a better value for the money.

Virtual products are very hot items right now. You can even buy them online at Ebay.com. People make hundreds of dollars on avatars and domains, not to mention the Second Life land. It is a lucrative business for those who are in the right place at the right time. For some it is not about the money to be made. It is about connecting in a virtual world with like minded individuals.

Apart from the mentioned virtual products, what else can I expect from Second Life? You mentioned here that anyone part of Second Life can sell and buy products within its virtual world and actually earn profits. So how does one really earn from this "game?" How about the payment method? What is the arrangement and the actual flow of profits? Also, if virtual products can be availed on eBay, how will it then be made use in the Second Life world?
