Second Life BoardsForum for Second life

SL Communities
One of the best things about the internet is the ability to talk with others about issues and concerns that matter. This is true of most online web groups. Online Second Life is no different. The Second Life forum is a place for members to read about important issues or even to find help about trivial matters, such as finding out the best locations to purchase property. You can even find out which color of avatar hair is best on which female member. Some topic threads do not even pertain to the Second Life game.

When you first get the Second Life download you will notice that you have access to the forums. Even without the downloads, the first page at www secondlife com has a few sections of interest. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see several links. The links range from issues about Second Life to the Support section, where the support team can answer any questions you might have regarding the game.

The first step you need to take in order to post or even read any of the threads in the Second Life forum under the Community Links section is to register. This occurs after you have completed your membership. Unlike most forums that allow guests to read postings, Second Life restricts access to their forum to only registered members. Basic members have access to the forum and can post and read threads.

The forum is a handy Second Life guide to learn how to navigate around the website and game, although it may be wise not to call it a game to some of the people. This is important business to most people and is taken quite seriously. So seriously in fact that some relationships are started in the game and continued in real life. People even have sex between their avatars! Imagine, Second Life sex. Now this is taking cybersex to a whole new level.

The Second Life game does provide a Frequently Asked Questions section. Please check this out before visiting the Second Life forum. Many new members wind up posting a new thread for a simple question, rather than taking the time to look up an answer. Do yourself and others a favor by trying to find the answer on your own before bugging other members with a simple query. It may not seem like a big deal at the time, but it shows a lack of consideration.
